Tara Larkin

An interiors stylist is a person who chooses a location or designs a set. They source fabrics, furniture and accessories then place the products in the interior. Their job is to make a space look good and, ultimately, stylish. This Interior Styling course can be for advertising or editorial photoshoots and residential or commercial customers and will give you an insight into the styling industry. A stylist needs to understand the requirements of a client and properly be able to develop a concept. You will be asked to create your own style boards to present ideas and come up with solutions to a variety of styling projects. You will also have the opportunity to take part in a photoshoot and gain from direct experience of styling for the camera. Throughout the course the tutor will lecture on style tips using pattern and texture, colour, balance and symmetry that can be translated to the domestic home or photoshoot.

Tara Larkin is an experienced freelance Interiors Stylist who has worked for a variety of magazines, newspapers, interiors companies and television. View her client list and examples of her work on www.interiorstylist.com.
