Georgina Shorter, Merle Hensel

This course caters for creative practitioners who are looking to diversify their career options. It will provide an insight into the relatively new world of event design, and will teach students how to apply their existing skills. Through project-based work, students will learn how to analyse site-specific spaces, and develop their own conceptual ideas. Emphasis will also be put on combining imagination, practicality and improvisational skills in order to pitch their ideas to clients.

Georgina Shorter and Merle Hensel trained together in theatre design at Central Saint Martins. Since then they have both been working professionally as theatre, film and event designers.
