Interior Design for 16 - 18 Year Olds

Interior Design for 16 - 18 Year Olds

Pascal Anson MA (RCA) and Michelle Edwards MA (RCA)

Do you want to know what interior design is really all about? (And as a hint, it's not all paint charts and co-ordinating cushions.) This course will give you an insight into the basics of interior design. The course will introduce you to the design process: researching your ideas, how to put them down on paper (using different drawing methods) and how to present your ideas in a portfolio. The course is suitable for ambitious beginners as well as those who have already studied art and design and who want to build up their skills. It is an excellent starting point for you if you want to develop a portfolio to apply for further study or just find out where 'Changing Rooms' stops and interior design begins.

Pascal Anson is a three dimensional designer. He has worked across the discipline and has experience of building real and virtual spaces. His interior design work stretches from exhibition spaces to international airports. He has designed the British Airways commemorative livery for the London 2012 games details of the commission can be seen at: http://ordinarymadeextraordinary.com Pascal’s website is: http://www.iampascal.com

Michelle Edwards studied product and furniture design at the RCA. She currently works as an industrial and interior designer. She is a senior lecturer at Kingston University, and has also taught at University College for the Creative Arts, Ravensbourne College of Art and Design, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and Liverpool St Johns.
