Interior Design - Part 2 - Daytime
Ugo Passin
The aims of this course are to further develop the understanding of the design process and methods as well as creative and critical skills to propose a solution within the constraints of designing a commercial interior space with attention to safety, access, ergonomic needs. You will be encouraged to develop a personal and creative approach in the transformation of a given space whilst simultaneously combining these factors with the functional requirements of new users. This will create a unique set of individual skills; you will be trained to use appropriate referencing, selection of design precedents and their interpretation to develop solutions using appropriate drawing skills for the task. By the end of the course you should be able to develop and communicate your design concepts into a clear and well presented scheme. The focus of the course will be on commercial buildings.
This course is suitable for anyone who has completed the Interior Design - Part 1 course.
Ugo Passin is a practising interior designer currently researching the relationship between colour and space. He is a tutor at Chelsea College of Art and Design and other London colleges.
