Reportage Photography
Giulio Mazzarini
The course will teach the practice as well as theory of photojournalism and reportage photography, giving great emphasis to photographic narrative. With the help of the tutor, students will select several topics of their choice, then prepare photographic sessions, shoot and finally edit their own work. They will finally present their work to the class. Practical topics will include; the decisive moment, working with available light, supplementing sunlight with artificial light, using reflecters, using monopods and tripods, photographing action and selecting and presenting images. Students are asked to bring their own photographic equipment.
Giulio Mazzarini is a photographer and art director working in both the UK and Italy. His work includes fashion, portrait and reportage photography for clients such as Kodak and Selfridges. For more information visit www.gmazzarini.com.
