Introduction to Maya Animation

Introduction to Maya Animation

Kevin Rowe

As an introduction to Maya, this course will lead you through a very wide range of powerful tools which potentially allow you to express any conceivable still or moving image. The course is structured in three overlapping areas, 'interface and modelling', 'animation' and 'lighting and materials', with the latter part of the course focusing on areas that you may wish to explore at a more advanced level. You will produce a character walk using the core processes in Maya; modelling, character setup, animation, texturing, lighting and rendering, to provide a comprehensive introduction to production processes.

Kevin Rowe is an experienced practitioner and tutor in animation and VFX at a range of leading HE institutions.
