Photography for Photographers
Peter Cattrell
This course is for photographers and amateurs alike. The course focuses on helping you define and express your vision and style of photography. During the course you will learn to objectively look at photographic images and understand what attracts you to them. This will be achieved through a series of carefully designed exercises and classroom discussions. You will experiment with various techniques in photography to define your own. The entire approach to image creation will be reviewed and discussed. At the end of the course there will be a portfolio review.
Peter Cattrell has taught at Central Saint Martins and the London College of Printing since 1986. He has done portraits for magazines and design companies, and brings a wide range of teaching and experience to this course.

Please bring with you to the first session:
- For the first class session please bring Approximately 50 tearsheets or copies of the photography work which appeals most to you
- A film camera (along with some film / media that you use) is recommended for the course, but digital is welcome as well, so bring your digital camera, its instruction manual and a notebook and pen.
