Designing for the Internet
Chris Jones MA (RCA)
This introduction to web design and Adobe Dreamweaver will give you the basic skills to design and build a static HTML based website. During the course many features of websites will be explored, including basic CSS techniques, image optimisation and incorporating video & Google maps.
Other topics that will be covered include making animated gifs, javascript rollovers and dreamweaver spry. By the end of the course you will have learnt how to buy a domain, find a webhost and upload your website. Basic knowledge of the computer and basic experience using Adobe Photoshop are essential.
Chris Jones works across web and print design working predominantly within the arts sector. He is a visiting lecturer at the Royal College of Art, and was an Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins in the School of Graphic and Industrial Design for over 12 years.
