This course is aimed at students with an interest in magazine design. Utilising InDesign we will deal with the main aspects of magazine layout ranging from deciding on a title to working with grids, typography, imagery and the preparation of artwork. This mac based course will encourage you to experiment with formats, grids and page layouts, guiding you through the process of designing your own magazine project step by step. We will explore the importance of typography from selecting fonts to the hierarchy of information on a page. Basic Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator techniques will help you create and enhance your imagery, before saving and importing your files. Once your content has been added you'll be guided through the final artwork production stages, providing you with InDesign or PDF files of your magazine ready for print.
