Designing for the Internet

This introduction to web design and Adobe Dreamweaver will give you the basic skills to design and build a website. During the course many features of websites will be explored, including basic CSS techniques, image optimization and incorporating Flash video. Other topics that will be covered include making animated gifs, javascript rollovers and dreamweaver spry. By the end of the course you will have learnt how to buy a domain, find a webhost and upload your website. You should have a basic knowledge of the computer and some experience using Adobe Photoshop.

Chris Jones works across web and print design working predominantely within the arts sector. He is a visiting lecturer at the Royal College of Art, and an Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins in the School of Graphic and Industrial Design.
