Graphic Design for 16 - 18 Year Olds
Martin McGrath
This is a practical, intensive course suitable for enthusiastic and open-minded students with a keen interest in graphic design. This project-based course will enable students to develop and improve the basic design skills required by graphic designers. Students will be encouraged to explore and broaden their approach to, and understanding of, graphic design as a subject. During the week students will be required to show high levels of commitment in the production of extensive amounts of work. Work produced during this course may form part of a portfolio for application to graphic design courses at foundation or degree levels. In response to set design briefs, through the production of original, exciting and innovative design sheets, students will cover the following areas: development of visual research, concept generation, concept development and presentation of final design solutions.
