Drawing Portfolio

Drawing Portfolio

Terry Wheeler

The course is a practical, mixed ability course ideal for anyone who wishes to support other art or design studies with additional drawing and life study skills. Its aim is to provide you with an introduction to the fundamentals of drawing through a broad range of approaches and to explore their role in the creative process. You will be introduced to a range of techniques and methodologies and will be encouraged to extend your ways of thinking about drawing and to gain confidence in pushing your work in new directions. The course will cover themes as diverse as 'thinking through drawing' through to 'drawing from the figure'. On completion of the course you will be able to analyse and define visual experience in terms of line, form, tone, scale, proportion, composition and texture. During the course you will be offered support and guidance on improving your portfolio as well as advice on future areas of study.

Terry Wheeler is an illustrator, designer and book designer. He teaches calligraphy and drawing.
