Watercolour Painting 1 - Beginners

Watercolour Painting 1 - Beginners

Roger Gill BA (Hons)

Watercolor painting can be construed as painting that has little or no value when compared to high profile oil or acrylic painting. Not so. It is the very medium that is often used to give colour, form and life to the idea, before a major work is created. On this course your creative ideas will evolve as you learn how to develop your ability using the simplicity, flow and colour of this amazing medium! You will learn, not through strict instruction or 'this is how to do it', but through exploratory investigation, play, and the introduction of contemporary materials, colours and techniques. By painting subject matters such as the figure, still life and the landscape, together with utilising traditional methods with contemporary approaches, we will lift the lid off your creative interior and make a variety of powerful watercolour paintings. This course is suitable for all levels, especially those without previous experience.

Roger Gill is an artist and freelance tutor who works in London and who has exhibited in the UK and Europe. See www.rogergill.org.
