Painting the Nude
Roger Gill BA (Hons)
This course will enable students to combine a variety of historical and contemporary approaches when painting the nude, and to complete two medium size canvases in oil or acrylic that contain all the richness and subtlety of paint and colour that, together with some exotic, lush backdrops, depict the nude figure. The first day will be devoted to experimentation with the oils and acrylics on primed paper, followed by four days devoted to completing the two canvases. The model will take on a series of poses during the week that reflect the changing nature of this genre over time.
Roger Gill is an artist and freelance tutor who works in London and who has exhibited in the UK and Europe. See www.rogergill.org.
