Figure in Oil Painting
Michael Major MA (RCA)
This is an oil painting course with a life model in attendance every day. It is suitable for beginners and those with more experience. The first day of the course will be spent drawing by way of re familiarizing yourself with the human figure. The next four days oil painting completing a painting each day exploring a variety of technical and colour problems By the end of the course you will have developed your creativity, improved technical skills and have two or three substantial paintings either finished or in development.

Alternative Dates and Times
Many of our courses are repeated throughout the year. If the above dates is not suitable for you,
or there are no dates showing for this session, then please choose an alternative session.
Please bring the following to the first day:
- Charcoal
- Chalk Pastels
- A1 cartridge
Later in the week you will need:
- 2 pre stretched canvasses (24 x 20 approx)
- Full range of oil colours
- Selection of brushes
- Kitchen roll
- Liquin (Winsor & Newton)
- Odour free turpentine substitute
- Plastic or paper tear off palate (preferred).
- (all items can be purchased from the college shop if needed)
