Introduction to Drawing

Introduction to Drawing

Guy Noble

The aim of this course is to demystify the process of drawing. Designed for total beginners, it seeks to equip the student with a working knowledge of a range of basic practical and conceptual skills. So whether it is just for pleasure or if you are considering going on to do graphic design, illustration, fashion or fine art this course will give you an excellent start.  The best way to learn is to enjoy what you’re doing so Guy has devised lots of short exercises that, while showing you a specific point of drawing, are also good fun. He will start with a very basic vocabulary of drawing. These are what he calls the building blocks and getting to grips with these early on will help you as your drawing develops.  Materials, methods, composition, space, form, the subject, the object and the nude figure will all be taught. The course will consist mostly of practical studio work interspersed with demonstrations and slide talks.

This course will use life models

Guy Noble is a practising artist who has exhibited internationally. He studied at the Byam Shaw and in Spain and Italy. For more information go to www.guynoble.com or see him on Facebook
