Painting: The Next Step
Michael Major MA (RCA), Roger Gill BA (Hons)
This course is for students who have previously attended short courses in painting, whether at Central Saint Martins or elsewhere, and now wish to build on this experience and develop their painting in a more personal way. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and to expand your vision as an artist. It is essentially a practical painting course where demonstrations of techniques take place alongside personal tuition, producing an atmosphere supportive of the individual and encouraging positive critical debate. Issues arising from art practice will be explored alongside individual and group critiques. It is a course for students who wish to work in a personal way within the studio dynamic.
Michael Major is a painter living, working and exhibiting in London. Visit his website at www.michael-major.co.uk for more information. Roger Gill is an artist and freelance tutor who works in London and who has exhibited in the UK and Europe. See www.rogergill.org.
