An advanced mouldmaking and casting course of techniques and materials.This course would be suitable for students graduating from the Mouldmaking and Casting course or for students with some existing experience of the subject wishing to advance there skills.The course will cover some of the more modern high-spec and some traditional materials and techniques and will include:
Two-piece Silicone rubber moulding.
Multiple-piece Jesmonite/Polyester GRP resin casting.
Mutiple-piece Alpha plaster and glass fibre casting.
Two-piece Alginate life moulding.
Life moulding Silicone rubber.
Ciment Fondu casting.

Alternative Dates and Times
Many of our courses are repeated throughout the year. If the above dates is not suitable for you,
or there are no dates showing for this session, then please choose an alternative session.
Please bring with you to the first session:
- Two 'Spherical' objects to 'mould' from - approximately 150mm/6" in Diameter (Please keep to approximately this size!) These could be: Manufactured 'Children's' footballs ('smooth' or with any amount of 'texture'), Modelled from clay (keep damp and wrapped in plastic or Clingfilm) or Plastercine/Other synthetic modelling compound or any other 'Spherical' pre-made object.
- Appropriate clothing (messy activity!)
- Basic clay modelling tools
- craft knifes
*Please note that plaster working tools are provided, but you should bring any additional tools you think might be useful
