How wonderful could it be to convey life with a single brushstroke? This painting course is for those who love the human form. It is an opportunity to indulge yourself in the pleasures of painting the nude, and will cover observing the body, simple mark-making and drawing techniques, size and proportion, skin and what lies beneath and the impact of light. Once you are comfortable with your chosen medium we will focus briefly on the face, hands and legs before moving on to a series of quick poses. As the course progresses we will spend time developing skills learnt to produce an accomplished piece. From a simple pen stroke to translate movement to the use of colour and tone to evoke feeling, you will experience the pleasure of painting as a language of expression.
