Fabric Design for Fashion using Heat Press
Imogen Evans MDes (RCA)
This course gives you the opportunity to experiment with varied techniques of decorating fashion and furnishing fabrics using the heat press. Students will develop design ideas onto fabrics by exploring methods such as transfer printing, screen printing, hand painting, metal foiling, flocking and dyeing with acid and disperse dyes. Basic printing materials, dyes and fabric swatches for initial sampling will be provided.
Imogen Evans has many years experience in Fashion Textiles, both as a designer and a tutor. She is currently working on the BA and MA Fashion Print courses at Central Saint Martins.
