Fashion Communication Summer School
Julian Seaman, Harriet Worsley
This three-week course is aimed at those who wish create a portfolio of work in order to apply for a Fashion Communication and Promotion course or for those who want to gain an all-round introduction to the subject to enter the worlds of fashion journalism, advertising, PR, styling, fashion book publication and art direction. The course would include one day workshops and longer projects including: Magazine cover design, styling and photography, reporting from the catwalks and catwalk drawing, streetstyle blog project, interview project with photograph of subject, Fashion book concept, fashion illustration, feature and fashion news writing PR and promotion and a fashion advertising project.
Harriet Worsley and Julian Seaman work extensively in the field and will invite the relevant experts to lecture for specific projects. This course could be an ideal follow on from the 4-week Fashion Design Summer School or it can be taken independently.
Julian Seaman has a degree in fashion design from Central Saint Martins. He is an illustrator, textile designer and author of several books on fashion drawing.
Harriet Worsley gained her degree at Central Saint Martins in Fashion Communication and Promotion and has worked as a fashion journalist for the trade and consumer press. She taught Fashion Communication on the Foundation Course at Central Saint Martins and has written four books on the history of fashion, she is also an accomplished garden designer.
