Fashion Drawing Summer School
Helen Bullock MA and others
Fashion illustration is one of the most important tools that fashion designers possess for conveying and developing their ideas. This course is aimed at fashion students of all levels, those about to commence degree level fashion studies as well as those who love to draw for pleasure. In addition to teaching or improving your drawing skills, it will help you develop a personal style. It covers: drawing the figure and developing individual ways of illustrating; improving confidence with drawing; putting down ideas; and experimenting with different media. The course will be structured so that each day will focus on a specific area: black and white, colour and mixed media, all working from the model. Students may take between one and four weeks of the course, joining at any stage. Those new to fashion illustration may wish to take the Fashion Drawing for Absolute Beginners course before this one.
Having graduated from Central Saint Martins MA Textiles for Fashion, Helen has gained experience at Galliano, Ossie Clark, and Avsh Alom Gur. As well as teaching on the BA and short courses at Central Saint Martins, Helen is also a freelance textile designer.
