This course will help you to identify key trends, what makes great swim design, the principles of fit follows function, working with technical fabrics and using exciting prints. 

Through tutorials and research you will create a range of contemporary men's swimwear, starting with mood boards, sketches, finished designs, presentation boards and technical drawings ready for a factory. A complete design process perfect for a portfolio. Importantly the course will equip you with an understanding of what is needed within the industry and the key tools of how to implement this in a cutting edge and relevant way.

Riz Smith is a British menswear designer, based in London. Commercially Riz has seen a successful career spanning from bags and accessories through to beachwear and casual wear. Experienced in evolving ideas from concept and managing the design process through to final production. Most importantly creating trend boards, commercial colour palettes, working to critical paths, creating technical drawings for factories and working with sales and marketing departments.
