Fashion Styling for 16 - 18 Year Olds

Styling is a key part of the fashion world. From magazine shoots to catwalk presentation, designers and photographers work with stylists to create fashion images and looks. This course will introduce you to styling for fashion and examine contemporary magazine shoots and introduce you to working stylists. Working to a brief, you will research, source garments, put together a fashion story and then document and photograph your work for presentation. Team working, creativity and originality will be encouraged through a variety of assignments inside the studio and on location. Advice will be given on portfolio preparation for further study at foundation and degree level.
Jane Francis is a long standing short course tutor at Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion. She is also a design practitioner working with international fashion brands and designers.

or there are no dates showing for this session, then please choose an alternative session.
Please bring with you to the first session:
- A2 Sketch pad / Drawing pad
- Drawing Kit - Pencils, Colour Pencils, Felt tip or Marker pens, Conte or Charcoal
- Eraser
- Scissors
- Stapler
- Pritt Stick or Glue Stick
- Camera (plus Film / Memory Card / Batteries)
- You will also need to allow at least £20.00 towards the cost of processing and printing of images
- Travel costs and entry to Museum or Street Market (approx £10.00).
