Sustainable Styling

Sustainable Styling

Maria Nishio

A practical course for students who want to learn how to style themselves using forgotten gems from their own wardrobes, vintage fashion finds and heritage pieces from their mothers or grandmothers. The emphasis of this course is not about buying new stuff but using what you ready have in creative, imaginative ways and giving your clothes a whole new lease of life.  During the course you will look at styling yourself as well as going round vintage shops in London and learning what to look for when foraging for bargains.

The course will also include sessions on make-up enabling you to complete your look.  This course is suitable for students with no prior styling or fashion experience.

Maria Nishio graduated from Central Saint Martins in BA (Hons) Fashion in 2005. She has worked for various international magazines and currently works closely with the Course Director of BA Fashion at Central Saint Martins organising annual fashion shows and photoshoots.
