Packaging a Fashion Brand

Packaging a Fashion Brand

Schelay McCarter

This introductory course has been designed for those who want the opportunity to explore the skills required to create effective brand packaging to enhance their portfolio offer and increase their professional development. We will look at the role the brand logo plays in marketing and selling a product be it for a Web site, High street shop, Hosiery pack or point of sale.
We will examine the key role photography plays in the brand packaging process, and how to employ, direct and coordinate a creative team.
How to create a brand specific image with coordinating graphics, typography and photography to launch a new business idea/label will be addressed in a series of group and individual study projects.
These skills may be applied to a broad spectrum of fashion and lifestyle industries. Some basic design soft ware ability, use of a lap top and small camera would be an advantage on this course but not essential.

Schelay McCarter has worked in the fashion forecasting industry, then as an Art Director for Marks and Spencer before creating 'fashiontent' for Art/Creative Direction/PR/Journalism and design projects. For more information visit www.schelay.blogspot.com or www.schelay.co.uk.
