Make-Up for Fashion

Make-Up for Fashion

Carol Morgan and Kristina Vidic

Cosmetics have been around for 1000s of years. This short course will focus on using make-up as part of a narrative and is most suitable for students interested in make-up for the catwalk and photo shoots. It will give you an overview of the history of cosmetics and a short introduction to make-up artistry. You will look at fashion trends and be given the opportunity to learn practical make-up skills. You will be taught how to use make-up techniques to interpret and create a look and you will be given the chance to try out these looks with a photographer in the studio! This course is ideal for beginners.

Carol Morgan trained in textiles and is an Associate Lecturer on the BA Fashion Communication and Promotion course at Central Saint Martins.  She is a global trend tracker and fashion marketer, identifying what effects design and fashion around the world. A consultant to leading European fashion brands, she has her own creative practice specialising in trends and fashion marketing.  She has worked as an international fashion and beauty brand consultant, has been a key speaker at international fashion conferences and visiting lecturer in universities worldwide.

Kristina Vidic is a freelance fashion-led make-up artist and works for major cosmetics brands.
