Fashion Drawing for Absolute Beginners

Fashion Drawing for Absolute Beginners

Celia Wain-Heapy BA

The ability to get your designs on paper is crucial for anyone who wants to become a fashion designer. If you think you can't draw or are frustrated by your inability to translate the ideas in your head into sketches that can become part of your portfolio, this course is for you. Starting from the basics you will be trained in how to draw in a variety of mediums from pencil and charcoal to coloured tools including pastels, watercolours and illustration pens. You will leave the course having produced a mass of drawings and with your creativity invigorated. This course is a great introduction and stepping stone on to the other fashion illustration classes at the college.

Celia Wain-Heapy is a professional designer and pattern cutter for an established womenswear brand in London. She gained her degree at Winchester School of Art and Design.
