Menswear is an ever, growing industry with a diverse range of markets ranging of High Street to High End designers. No matter weather you're a voyeur, beginner or already climbing the course pathway to your ambition, this is the course could be for you.

The aim of this course is to give you a creative understanding of the design process in becoming a menswear designer or to develop your existing style to the next level of your chosen course/career direction, with an outcome of a project/portfolio of design work.

The course will help create/develop any chosen areas of commercial, creative and conceptual design within men's tailoring, sportswear or casualwear. Creating an individual themed capsule collection by understanding the design process through:

Concept/Inspiration
Initial design research
Developing mood and colour boards
Fabric awareness
Basic figure drawing
Designing a balanced collection
Illustration/Technical drawing to best communicate your designs
Visit to inspirational museums and galleries that assist in the development of design

Satyenkumar Patel graduated from the MA Menswear Fashion course at Central Saint Martins. He then went on to work for Versace in Milan designing for the mainline menswear, followed by womenswear designer Ashish. Satyen now has his own menswear label and also tutors both men's and womenswear on the BA Fashion at Kingston University amongst other universities and colleges.
