Fashion Surgery

Satyenkumar Patel

Are you preparing to apply for a fashion course? Are you already studying fashion or related subjects and looking for a fresh perspective on your work? Or do you just want the experience of doing a fashion project in the college studio environment? Do you need help with research, design development, portfolio and presentation (in any combination)? This course offers personal time with your tutor to diagnose your needs and devise an individual programme based on the work you bring with you. Your programme can develop existing projects or new ones can be set for you. You will also be able to get answers to your questions about application to fashion courses. This course will give you the opportunity to work in a relaxed atmosphere in our open studio setting with tutorial support as well as the chance to benefit from interaction with your peers, both individually and in group critiques.

Satyenkumar Patel graduated from the MA Menswear Fashion course at Central Saint Martins. He then went on to work for Versace in Milan designing for the mainline menswear. Satyen now has his own menswear label and also tutors both men's and womenswear on the BA Fashion at Kingston University and BA Fashion/Textiles at UWE Bristol.

Alternative Dates and Times
Many of our courses are repeated throughout the year. If the above dates is not suitable for you, or there are no dates showing for this session, then please choose an alternative session.

Please bring with you to the first session:

  • Your portfolios and/or examples of your work
  • Note book and pen
  • During this first class, students will be doing a group show and tell, so the tutor can get a better idea what your individual needs are.
  • Other equipment will be advised (and will probably differ for each student as the course progresses).
