Digital Print on Textiles
Laura Baker
This course will teach you how to design and print using a large format digital printer as well as using heat transfer and sublimation print techniques. Photoshop and Illustrator packages will be used to manipulate images and designs to be output on both digital and sublimation printers. Use of appropriate textiles will be discussed and explored. You will be given an insight into techniques currently used in industry and will finish with a range of samples printed on a wide variety of textiles. You will be able to print for both fashion print and interiors. The work produced on this course will make an exciting and unique addition to a portfolio and will offer a new dimension to your existing textile abilities. Some previous experience with Photoshop and Illustrator useful.
Laura Baker is an experienced tutor on the BA Textile Design course at Central Saint Martins.
