Frequently Asked Questions

In what language are the courses held?

All the courses are taught in English. Although we do not ask you for a specific level of English to be able to do the course you must be able to have good conversational English.

Will I need a VISA to study in the UK?

Immigration requirements vary hugely depending on what country you are travelling from and your personal circumstances. For up to the minute advice on what is required visit the University of the Arts London student services website at www.arts.ac.uk/services. If you do need a VISA please be aware that processing can take a long time so do book your course early.

How do I obtain a VISA to enter Spain?

If you are not an EU student it is important before you travel to Spain that you make sure you have the necessary valid travel documents to enter the country. We recommend you enquire as soon as possible at the relevant consulate general in your country of residence. Follow these links to find your nearest consulate: www.embassyworld.com/embassy/directory.htm

How can I pay for my course?

You can pay using your credit card through this website, by phone or fax. See the section on booking procedures. Alternatively if you wish to pay by bank transfer or using a company purchase order please contact the short course office on +44 (0) 20 7514 7015.

Does the school provide all the materials?

No. You should provide your own materials depending on the type of project that the workshop will require. As a guide, you will need to provide your own notebooks or sketchbooks, writing or drawing kit, paints and paper. You may also be required to do your own research into materials and inspiration before starting your course. A full list of what materials you will need to bring will be sent to your prior to starting your course.

What do I get at the end of the course?

You will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance if you attend at least 80% of the course. This paper, whilst not representing any credits offered by the colleges, does demonstrate your course projects were successfully completed to a standard that the tutor would expect.
