Most students start their post-school art and design education with a one year Foundation course which gives them the opportunity to explore the full range of art and design disciplines and prepare a portfolio for entry to our three year undergraduate courses. Our Foundation courses give you secure grounding in your chosen subject, teach you to investigate and understand the physical and imaginative world and give you the chance to learn creative arts and design subjects that are not available in other courses or at school. Finally, Foundation courses are the opportunity to build a portfolio for application to an undergraduate course. 

We also run short courses which can help UK and overseas students prepare for Foundation or degree course study or to improve a professional portfolio.
