International Applicants

There are students from 90 countries studying at Central Saint Martins and the College encourages students from all over the world to apply.

Most international students apply through the Central Saint Martins International Office, which offers advice on:

  • choosing an appropriate subject and level of study
  • entry and portfolio requirements for your chosen course
  • how to apply
  • how to proceed once you have been offered a place

The International Office at Central Saint Martins also offers advisory tutorials designed to help applicants who may be unfamiliar with British art and design education. This includes assistance with portfolio preparation and advice about applying to courses and programmes of study.

Once you have been accepted for a course you will:

  • need to pay the tuition fees in full before the course starts. Scholarship information is available at http://ukscholarshipsdatabase.britishcouncil.org/
  • be able to join the special Welcome Programme in the week before the start of the academic year to welcome you to London and the University, and meet staff and other students
  • become a member of the International Students House which has sports and social facilities and runs the HOST scheme which arranges free homestays with people all over the UK.
  • be invited to join the International Society which was formed to facilitate communication between all students and to celebrate multiculturalism. A number of social events, including exhibitions and excursions have been organised to date, by students, for students.

International Students who are currently studying at other universities can join the Central Saint Martins Study Abroad Scheme - an opportunity for them to join us for 1, 2 or 3 terms and gain credits towards their degree. Please use the link below for more information.
