Clearing 2009

If you haven't secured a place at university or college for the current year, we still have a few places left. Please read this page for details of which courses are available and how to apply. 

We have places on the following undergraduate courses: 

BA (Honours) Ceramic Design

UCAS code: E270 BA/CerDes
This course includes interior, architectural and environmental ceramics; design for the vessel; lighting; tableware; hollow ware and giftware.  Your knowledge and confidence as a ceramic designer will grow by studying the concepts and professional contexts of ceramic design.  The course provides a well-developed understanding of materials coupled with a strong design background and high degree of professional awareness. Employment opportunities encompass manufacturing; freelance work and consultancy; marketing, retail and PR; community artists; and other design fields.

BA (Honours) Performance Design and Practice

UCAS code:  E460 BA/PDP
This course develops practicing artists with a range of understanding from traditional theatre to live and performance art, installation, film, television, spatial/exhibition/event design to video and live music events. Employment opportunities encompass designing, directing, writing, performing or taking responsibility for any individual task in the creation of performance.

The official date for the start of Clearing (results day) is 20 August 2009.

How to apply:

Step 1: Check on the UCAS website that you are eligible for Clearing.
Step 2: If you wish to apply to one of the above courses at Central Saint Martins, call our hotline number: + 44 (0)20 7514 7022/7023. When you call, please make sure that you have the following information ready:
 
1.    The course you wish to apply for.
2.    Your UCAS applicant number.
3.    Your CEF (Clearing Entry Form) number.
4.    Your exam subjects, results and exam board.
5.    Do you have a portfolio of work ready to bring to interview? The portfolio should contain between 20 - 50 pieces.
6.    Your full name, address, telephone number and email address
 
Step 3: Your details will be passed on to one of our administrators who will contact you in due course to ask you more questions and/or arrange an interview.
