Bike Store

CSM is committed to supporting and encouraging cycling.

Location

The King's Cross site has a dedicated cycle storage space in the basement of the building for 250 bikes. Access to the cycle store is via a security turnstile that can be operated with your swipe card.

Access

In order to activate this card to operate the bike store turnstile and be added as part of the Bike Store access Group you should email Jenny Chittenden or William Movish at infrastructure@csm.arts.ac.uk

The bike storage spaces/racks are on a first come basis. Some public bike racks are also available outside the Granary building.

Use of the Bike Store

  • The security racks can accommodate two bikes each – one attached to each side of the rack. The racks are to be used for bikes only. If other items are locked to the racks they will be removed
  • Please ensure that your bike is locked to the rack. Bikes left in the Bike Store are at the owner's risk – the College does not accept responsibility for bikes that are stolen
  • The limited number of spaces available means that users should not to leave bikes locked to racks overnight unless absolutely necessary and definitely not for extended periods of time, unless special permission has been given by the Head of the estates team
  • No bikes, including folding bikes can be kept in any other part of the building outside the bike store whatsoever. Any bikes found by estates team will be removed
  • Showers can be accessed at the north end of the building
  • Cyclists should report any misuse of the bike store to the estates team.
